STATEMENT: I had heard of this new oil Militec and at the same time was searching for a product that would give us some
added protection against premature engine wear or engine failure when the Variable Ratio Oiler (VRO) is on the new P-250.
We were receiving units that had scored cylinder walls, due to oil failure.
I had acquired nine 25HP Johnson outboards from the salvage yard and put together two units as identically as possible.
I set the two units in a 750 gallon test tank and ran them for four hours each, overflowing the tank as I went along to
provide cooling to the engines. I sprayed Militec mixed with regular outboard engine oil into the carburetor, for lubrication of one unit, and just regular oil into the other unit ( 1 qt each) and ran both engines without lubrication until they stop from lack of oil. The one using Militec kept running until we had to shut it off and check for lubrication in the fuel tank. I started it again and it ran for another 10 to 20 minutes. It began to slow down and finally it stopped. I disassembled both units. The Militec unit did in fact offer more protection than the outboard motor oil alone. The Militec unit was repairable, the untreated unit was beyond repair.
