Militec-1 is a special lubricant developed for U.S. Government agencies, which is now being marketed commercially in New Zealand. The concentrated lube is adsorbed into metal - it actually becomes part of the metal, not merely a film on the surface. MILITEC treated firearms have been tested and proven to deliver higher muzzle velocity with the same load, plus decreased wear at all critical points. In blind tests when the shooters didn't know which lube they were using, the MILITEC treated firearms were consistently rated as "feeling" smoother and easier to operate.

MILITEC has a very low evaporation rate does not dry out or disappear like some other lubes, firearms remain properly lubricated for a much longer period of time . The product is ideal for firearms that are exposed to harsh weather conditions. Once bonded, a light coat left on the firearm affords excellent corrosion protection. This cuts down on damage caused by damp weather and and makes MILITEC especially suitable for firearms carried on motorcycles or boats.
A treated firearm can be wiped completely clean and dry but will still retain adequate lubrication even though there's no liquid visible. Because MILITEC bonds into the metal the liquid surface component is unnecessary. This self- lubricating effect was used to great advantage in Operation Desert Storm.

Militec-1 has been field tested by ProHunt Ltd, a NZ company specializing in feral goal control - they found that the product significantly reduced the time needed to keep their modifed Colt AR15s clean & functioning reliably.

To use it - apply a light coat to all metal surfaces, including the bore. On exterior surfaces, burnish rapidly with a path. The heat and friction of firing will activate MILITEC on inner surfaces. It's best to remove the old lube first - some lubes can have a residue that may partially block the product's effectiveness. If your firearm is very dirty clean thoroughly with solvent before your first application.

MILITEC-1 can be used with all types of machinery, including engines of all sizes; automotive transmissions / differentials; compressors; assembly-line speed reduction gears; electric motors, pumps, etc. It is also an excellent cutting fluid for difficult lathe and mill work. The product works anywhere two pieces of metal rub together.

NZ Guns & Hunting has tested MILITEC on rifle and shotgun actions and found an instant improvement in their smoothness. IPSC champion Russel Wightman now uses it exclusively on his competition pistols.
