BY EMAIL ONLY TO MAJOR HENTHORN

We have sent you two recent messages asking for your help in explaining why we were “uninvited” to last month’s conference at Ft. Benning. You have not answered our mail, nor seen fit to take a call from us. We have left multiple messages all last week and the week before thru several of your staff. A simple explanation is all we are seeking, since we have never been kick-out of a show. Thank you.

1. If you want to hear the truth concerning what lube works in combat, please have your staff visit us at the Annual Army Show (Oct 10-13) so they can hear first hand what troops think of MilSpec CLP, the 3 in 1 weapons solvent. I have done all the main shows in the past 20 years and I have NEVER heard ANYONE EVER claim MilSpec CLP worked - AS GOD AS MY WITNESS. Plus, we have received over 30,000 emails from our troops – if you want more proof.

2. You staff should be listening to the combat troops and incorporating the lessons learned versus coddling the civilian (REMF’s) who have a vested interest in maintaining their funding for MilSpec CLP.

3. Your two-sentence letter highlighted the exact problem as to why our troops still can’t get the basic gear they need. To blindly accept what your staff recommends, without leaving the confines of your office only reinforces the status quo.

4. MilSpec CLP has never worked properly in the desert. (1) The 1980 spec was never intended to be used in a desert environment (150 degree flash point) (2) was never tested in the desert (FOIA fact) and (3) was never tested in a Lab using talcum- powder- grade- sand as a contaminate and (4) the Army is the ONLY supporter of MilSpec CLP. If it worked, others would be jumping to use it.

5.The M-4 and M-16’s work just fine as long as the Army’s 27 year old solvent is not used. Weapons that are “dry lubricated” with MILITEC-1 do not jam in sustained gunfights and a simple wipe down with a dry rag is all that is required.

6.The current Army position is to clean your weapon up to eight (8) times a day with liberal amounts of CLP, even though the weapon has never been fired. This is an impossible standard unless you are crawling in the gravel firing single shots.

If your staff has any guts, please have them visit me @ the Army show next week. If you want to hear the truth, come and get it – or, stay in the rear.

Just received a call from Militec, they have not received any word yet regarding their memo to the CG. Have we responded yet? Thanks.
