Dear MG Wojdakowski:

A matter has developed about which we ask your comment and your assistance. Recently, this company was informed by your command that we were “uninvited” to participate in the upcoming Warfighter Conference at Fort Benning, 17 - 20 September.

For several years, we have participated in such product demonstrations and conferences, including the Warfighter Conference. For everyone who attended from your command, your soldiers who attended, and for Militec, Inc. –- it was a worthwhile, productive experience. Indeed, again this year Militec was invited to participate in this year’s Warfighter Conference. We registered as directed, and paid the registration fee.

Last week, we were informed by your command that Militec would not be permitted to participate. We appeal that decision, and question its propriety. Who made that decision? Why was it made, especially after we had already been invited -- as before -– and had paid our admission fee? We understand that some firms, whose activities were contrary to the troops’ interests, are barred from the Warfighter Conference. Since Militec is certainly not in that category, and has been enthusiastically welcomed by all, at the Warfighter Conferences and at many similar events, we do not understand our sudden “dis-invitation.”

Militec participates in many military and law enforcement events. As recently as this year, Militec exhibited at conferences at the Artillery, Armor, Engineer and Military Police Centers. We have received only praise and thanks for our participation.

General, we appeal to you the recent staff position taken regarding our participation at this year’s Infantry Warfighter Conference. We believe only benefits can come from our presence there -– no down side. The cutoff for final show arrangements is 10 September. We appreciate your attention to this matter, and we await your response.
