From Brad P. Giordani, President
Subject: Your July 25th AUSA News Article
1. I was very encouraged when I read the recent article in the AUSA news letter titled,
Lifecycle Management “Commands are working”. When I read the article concerning
feedback in both directions it got my attention, especially when you said, “If I don’t
know about it, I can’t fix it”. That is exactly why I am sending you this memo offering our
assistance.
2. The two AMC initiatives cited in the article state, (A) Provide commanders in the field
with single point of contact within AMC to meet the unit commanders needs, and (B) to
encourage industry to provide feedback to them on how they are doing.
3. Militec, Inc has documented proof that Picatinny Arsenal and Rock Island are
preventing our troops from acquiring the proper gear needed to survive combat
missions. The evidence required to root out this misconduct is documented in the three
(3) enclosures cited below.
4. ARDEC-TACOM-RI has cancelled numerous emergency orders, including orders
placed by several of the 3rd ID Commanders while they were rolling into Baghdad in
March 03. These Commanders were not notified that their emergency orders were
cancelled. Civil servants would not have gotten away with screwing our troops during
World War Two.
5. Militec, Inc. created a multi-million dollar demand from our troops requesting our dry
lubricant called MILITEC-1. As a result of this unprecedented demand, ARDEC is not
allowing our troops to receive the exact product they requisitioned through the supply
channels.
6. I respectfully request a meeting with your staff, ASAP, so you and others are not
blindsided when Congress and others intervene into Picatinny’s and Rock Island’s
contracting practices.
7. I enjoyed meeting you and Lew Ashley at the conference last May and stand ready and
willing to provide continued support to America’s Warfighters in their time of need. I
pray you can help. God Bless You!
