Mr. Giordani,
Thank you for your letter dated October 18, 2005.
In that letter you state that you “can prove that MIL-PRF-63460 is inadequate and improper specification for a weapons lubricant to be used in a desert environment”. This Command and other Government organizations want to see and would welcome the opportunity to review any technical, scientific, and/or engineering data on which you base that claim. If you will provide this headquarters any data you have, we will ensure that the Training and Doctrine Command, the US Army Test and Evaluation Command, and the other Government agencies who are involved in small-arms weapons lubricant evaluations also receive it.
In your letter you also state “for the record” that civilians in this Command have supported a “defective weapons lubricant” that “is directly responsible for jammed weapons and dead troops”. We take this allegation very seriously and request that you provide any documented, factual proof you have that substantiates your claim
Sincerely,
Roger A Nadeau
Major General, US Army
Commanding
