Hello
I am writting to get some information on ordering some militec. I managed to get a small bottle before heading over to Iraq with the Army. We are all out and all we can get is CLP. My unit will not order us any militec or can't order it. My team and I are detached from our headquarters and have decided to order it on our own. Can you send me some information so that we can order some and get us through this deployment. I read some information about militec before heading over here. I started to use the bottle I had picked up and it was great. We had a range in Kuwait before heading into Iraq. Another soldier kicked a clump of sand into my M-16 and I didn't have the time to clean it all out. I just brushed as much out as I could and fired with out a stoppage all day. The next day we had a convoy live fire. I figured why not run a little test for myself. I didn't clean my weapon after the first day and fired all day the second day with out a stoppage also. When I did get to clean my weapon it was the easiest time I have ever had after even a short range. You have made a great product that I plan on using on my personnal weapons when I return to the States.
Thank You

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message.
Today, we will ship you a cases of 1-ounce bottles, 100 per cases, and a case of 4-ounce bottles, 12 per case.
Please let me know when you are running low and more free product will be headed your way promptly.
Recently, we have received several complaints from our troops that have ordered MILITEC-1 and have not received it, or their orders were cancelled. I hope the civilian gate keepers at Picatinny Arsenal (that still consider CLP to be State-of-the-Art) are not canceling more war orders. Last year they cancelled over $100,000.00 in war orders and the Commanders in Theater were not notified that their expected war orders were cancelled. Who would do such a thing and why is something I may never understand. Rest assured, I will expose these traitors with every ounce of strength I have.
Thanks again for your message and your cases of MILITEC-1 should be arriving within three weeks.
GO ARMY.....!
Very Respectfully,
Brad P. Giordani

Dear Michael,
Below, is a message that we just received from Iraq.
We have received several other similar messages in the last few weeks complaining that their orders were cancelled, or they could not order MILITEC-1. I believe this is true, since we have not received an order in from DSCR in over a month and the volume for free samples to our troops are increasing dramatically.
Can you please investigate this for us? It seems the more popular we are with our troops is when certain people go out of their way and abuse their authority in an attempt to further punish our company.
I am seriously considering going back to Congress where we enjoy wide support. Picatinny is advising divisions not to use MILITEC-1, troops orders are being cancelled, and other troops just can't order MILITEC-1.
This entire situation is not fair and its the troops that may have to pay the ultimate price, again.
Please help us!
Thank you,
Brad

Brad,
I have discussed your request with several folks.
I do not any indication that "Picattinny Arsenal" is providing advice to operational, deployed units that maligns your product. I will accept factual information from you to the contrary. It appears to me that you are postulating that a lack of orders for your product is caused by actions at Picattinny. I do not believe that to be the case.
We are working hard to conduct and complete the lubricant evaluation in a way that is both a measure of the merits of CLP and the products proposed by industry in a desert environment. I continue to believe that we have the same interest - making available the best product to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines.

Dear Michael,
I just returned from Japan and thank you for getting back to me.
I'm very sorry you feel that dozens of recent complaints and concerns from our troops is postulating on my part.
As you may know, when CLP and several other products were tested by Crane http://www.militec1.com/img/lubetest1.gif in their controlled dust chamber, CLP worked better than all others. This runs contrary to the May 15th Lessons Learned Report by LTC Smith @ http://www.militec1.com/OperationIraqiFreedom.pdf , The 10th Mountain Division operating in Afghanistan, DIA and DCIS recent testing in the sandbox and other credible units that have been working and using MILITEC-1 exclusively in SW Asia for years. If CLP worked in the sandbox as good as it does in controlled tests on US soil, we would not be receiving daily and unsolicited emails from our troops requesting free samples. We have received well over 500 credible Military emails and shipped over 15,000 free samples to our troops in the past 18 months. I have never received an email supporting CLP's use in the desert. If you have any information to the contrary, I would appreciate you sharing that with us.
In my view, and I have stated consistently, in order to properly test a new lubricant for a desert environment, the new lubricant must be tested in that environment. If not, you may end up with another product that looks good in controlled tests on US soil, but does not work well for the intended environment. This has already happened with CLP shortcomings in SW Asia. In my view, this is supported by this "new round" of APG on-site testing that includes CLP. Why your group insists on candidate products being compatible with CLP for this new round of testing is hard for me to understand.
I have two questions:
1. Is the Army still recommending CLP for use in the sandbox?
2. Are you going to answer my message to you dated February 24, 2003?
BTW, it appears we have passed the medical portion of the new desert lubricant testing at APG.
Thank you for your help.
