Subject: DLA

Brad, After receiving the note that ARDEC sent to Ernest Jeniolionis authorizing the unblocking of the MILITEC-1 NSNs I contacted Mr. Jeniolionis to see about filling the 26 or more orders for MILITEC-1 that he had described to me earlier. His staff had asked us to be ready to fill orders totaling 600 cases of 16 oz bottles and 200 cases of 4 oz bottles. I asked about these orders. and was told that they were all canceled by DLA because of the blockage of the NSNs. He said he didn't have the names of the requesters to go back to and that they were mostly consolidations of orders of users through supply points. He said he didn't have to notify them of the cancellation action and that he had no way of getting back to the orderers to let them know that the product was now available for the next sixty days. He said we should look into the formal testing of our product thru ARDEC in these next sixty days and also that we might put out the word on the internet of ARDEC's authorization. He said he couldn't' t help to get the word out and it was up to us to maybe find a way thru ARDEC to get the word out services wide, i.e. the Army, Marines, etc.. A real Catch-22. Now they can have what they wanted a month ago but no way to tell them that. There has to be a way of getting the word out better than on our internet site. Something thru logistics channels to the many S-4, J-4,. etc. folks that are out there? Maybe back to Gen. Kern and down to MG Thompson? Maybe more simply thru Col Padgett and ARDEC directly?
