Proven Metal-Stiffening Technology Slashes Diesel Smoke

In August 1999, the City of Corona saw their diesel smoke reduced by more than 50% in several controlled and documented tests. The eight vehicles in the initial test fleet were all polluters. None could pass the State-mandated diesel tailpipe smoke tests (SAE J1667). However, after a 5% application of MILITEC-1 in the engine oil, all eight vehicles passed with no additional maintenance. One diesel truck reduced its tailpipe smoke by 94% within twenty minutes. One year later, a documented repeat of the diesel smoke test verified the same vehicles’ emissions were still well within State standards.

Says John Busby, Corona’s Fleet Services Supervisor, "When we saw that the effects of MILITEC-1 were both immediate and long-lasting, we decided to use MILITEC-1 in our fleet and related equipment. Now we are proud that our fleet’s emissions are among the cleanest in the state."
