Letter from David G. Ruiter Captain, US Army

November 08, 2001

Mr. Logan,

Thank you for the reply and the good news on the military rate. There are some other avid shooters in my unit and I have told them already about my enthusiasm for your product.

I was introduced to MILITEC-1 almost two years ago when in Command of a US Army Basic Combat Training unit at Fort Sill, OK. My Battery began using it there with excellent results. Some of the M-16A2 rifles we had were Vietnam-era M-16A1's modified to A2 specifications. From years of use, the barrels and actions were nearing (or past) their expected lifetime. However, with the use of MILITEC-1, these seemed to come somewhat back to life, and back to an acceptable accuracy for our purposes in that type of unit.

As an avid hunter, I began using it on one of my personal rifles (Steyr-Mannlicher Model M Luxus .30-06 [22" hunting weight barrel], Doctor Optic 2.5-10x48 scope, with Harris bipod) as a test. Using Federal Premium 180 grain Barnes XLC factory ammunition, the use of MILITEC-1 and no other modifications shrunk the average group size by about .3 inches. This put this factory stock rifle as a true <MOA shooter, and put a big smile on my face. Last deer season I tagged two nice bucks and five does (in Oklahoma and Wisconsin) at ranges from 100 to 340 yards.

I am sold on the product, and use it on all of my firearms, knives, and even my bow arrow rest and cam axles.

Now stationed in Germany, I am looking forward to hunting rae deer, red stag, and wild boars with a newly purchased Steyr in 7mm Rem Mag (to be later modified into 7mm STW), treated with MILITEC-1, of course.

Thanks again for a great product!

David G. Ruiter

Captain, US Army
