 Dear Dr. Oscar:

 We have been working with the Army since September, when DLA assigned NSNs to our products and determined to make them available to the military services and other government agencies. You are aware that since then we have encountered difficulties in marketing our product to the Army. Those problems have adversely affected our efforts in markets that use the U.S. Army's buying practices as a factor in deciding which products to purchase.

 This letter is to request a status report on issues we have discussed at some length: Army's performance testing of MILITEC-1 at the Tank and Automotive Command, and the inclusion of Militec product names and NSN's in the Army Master Data File (Army Log).

 Since this is the latter part of April, we expected in good faith that at least preliminary testing would have begun at TACOM by now. To our knowledge, this is not the case. No one at TACOM has contacted us for information or assistance regarding such tests since November.

 DLA assigned NSNs to Militec products in September; however, every Army Log through April has excluded our products. It has been extremely difficult to market our products to Army units, and likewise difficult to respond to Army units that have used our products and contact us to obtain more, when the Army Log does not provide field supply personnel the necessary information to place orders.

 We are a small business that manufactures and markets what soldiers tell us is an excellent product, far superior to other products intended for similar applications. We do not have the resources to remain in business indefinitely without receiving orders. We believe, and many soldiers strongly agree with us, that the Army will benefit significantly from incorporating Militec products into its maintenance programs. Clearly the biggest benefit is lives protected by weapons and other equipment treated with Militec products.
